Landing

Today was one of those days when my camera was with me all day. I started the day shooting soccer out at Denmark, freezing cold too, then I attached the 600 and headed out to find a few birds.

Well it must have been bird xmas, they were going nuts catching fish and just every where you looked there was some action. Reminded me of Kalbarri a bit.

Anyway old mate pulls up next to me offers me a whisky so had a can with him, shot some more birds and came home.

No cropping here. A few more to come!

Cheers guys

  1. Great capture David. Lighting on the wings in spot on. What time of day was it?
Also…do you think there might be snow on the Stirlings tomorrow?

  2. Hi Leigh, snow, naaa too warm.

Time was 4:45pm, 1/4000 sec, f4. I had put the thing away and saw them coming and had to do a fast remount!

Got a few more to post will drip feed them!

    Cheers mate

  3. Awesome detail in thie shot David very nice image indeed and hmm snow on the stirlings Leigh that could make for some beautiful images indeed.

  4. Just a lowly 400! Late arvo sun on white feathers speeds things up a touch!

  5. Cool shot 🙂

  6. Nice image David, lighting is spot on. You know what would be awesome, is to have that in portrait with the full reflection of the bird. There’s a challenge for you next time!!
I need to get me one of those 600’s!!!

  7. Great shot David, I quite like it without the complete reflection.
