Sunset from Stoney Hill Albany

As we left Leigh and Andrew in the bush a quick drive to Stoney hill was OK good. A couple other people enjoying the scene and to balance it out I left the girl in the frame for Krysta! Make sure you check out her blog, Krysta is an amazing photographer.

Not bad Stevo?

  1. nice, HDR?

    • Hi Julie, no, no HDR here. The D3s has a pretty high dynamic range and tends to look a bit like this. 8 image stitch.

      Thanks for cruising by!

  2. Nicely done David, nice tones in that sky!!

  3. very pretty

  4. Haha – glad you got the balance right this time David… Classic!

  5. So this is what you get when you leave me in the Albany wilderness trying to fend for myself!
Another great image David. The clouds look amazing.

  6. Beautiful colours David, and nice lines with the clouds and the bushes converging the way they do 🙂

I’ve also noticed with the 5D MK II that I take multiple exposures to do some HDR merging and then end up just using a single shot, it’s great to too how much these new cameras are progressing.

    • Thanks Dave, yes very true! The 5D MKII is a darn fine camera for this type of work mate.

Fast forward 5 years, man what will they be like the!

      Cheers for stopping by.

  7. Nice shot Dave, love the composition of the cloud!

  8. Hey…wait a minute…thats me in the photo…new I’d be famous one day! 😀

  9. Lovely! The greenery in this makes it different from other sunset shots.
