White browed scrub wren

I just love getting out photographing a few birds, (feathered!). Friends of mine have a great spot with truck loads of wrens, finches and willy wagtails in their back yard. So naturally Saturday when I was there I did not take my camera, yes take it every where you go I say, wrens pulling worms out of the ground with only my memory to capture it. So Sunday out with the mighty Nikon D3s and the 600mm AF-S F4 to see what we could get. This is the first one I captured and it was not until tonight I was stumped on what it was. So a call from my friends and with Tracey’s bird book we found it is a white browed scrub wren. Never seen one before never less photograph one. Any way thanks guys and special thanks to Kizzy for weeding the garden and making these little cheeky things come in for a look.

I textured this with a touch of sepia.

Nikon D3s, 600mm F4 1/400 second ISP 1600 spot metered.

Cheers guys.
